Family Service: Thanks to all those involved in our Family Service on September 24. Please note the activity sheets will be available just before the sermon. Crèche will operate as usual.

Aaron and Katie Rigg: The Rigg family will be visiting us for church on October 15, then staying on for a congregational lunch. As previously, we are asking people to contribute food – more details next week. For those unable to be here that day, the Riggs have invited people to meet them at Eltham North Adventure Playground.
Eltham Festival Outreach: Come and be involved at this year’s festival, Sunday 12th November . A variety of jobs are on offer, including balloon animals, face painting, prayer & psalm reading, upfront and behind the scenes roles. Sign up in the foyer from today! Indoor Carols 2017 Saturday December 16: Sausage sizzle from 5:00pm with Indoor Carols at 6:30pm. Bring the family, friends, neighbours, and yourself! * SAVE THE DATE *
Religion in the Public Square: This is a two day, bi-annual event run by the PCV Church & Nation Committee. It is a forum dealing with current issues to equip us and to provide us with a way to engage with our communities on these matters. It will be held at Scots Church in the city, October 20-21. Please go to religioninthepublicsquare.org for more information and booking details. You can sign up for all or just various parts of the conference.
Women’s Training Conference: The Presbyterian Theological College is holding its first Women’s Training Conference on Saturday October 28 th . Entitled “ Working For the Kingdom ” it will include preaching and teaching from 2 Thessalonians, and seminars on Leading a Bible Study, and One-to-One Discipleship. Invitations are on the foyer table, and more information can be found at ptc.edu.au
From the Canavans: Dear friends at Eltham Presbyterian Church, It was great to see you all when we visited recently. Thank you for your warm welcome and words of encouragement. Thank you also for your August support which we appreciated very much. Alan is well into the preparation for the checking of Scripture which he will do in PNG at the end of the month. He will spend the five weeks that he is away at Alotau which means it will be easy for us to keep in touch. Thank you for your partnership with us. Faye and Alan.
