Carols Event

This year's EPC indoor carols service will be held on Saturday 20th December at 5.00 pm followed by a sausage sizzle.

There will be lots of favourite Christmas carols, Bible readings, items by the Sunday School kids and the Mainly Music group. A Christmas message from Pastor Don, and it’s rumoured that Mo and Rob might also make an appearance!   This is a great outreach opportunity to invite friends and family who wouldn’t ordinarily come to church.
Desserts for the Carols Night
WANTED: Cookies, cupcakes, brownies finger food sweets for dessert after the Carols sausage sizzle.  If you are able to assist or have questions please speak with Helen Cameron.

Board of Management Nominations

Nominations are now open for Board of Management appointments which will become effective, 1 January 2026. This Sunday is the last day for nominations so please complete your nominations ASAP. Thank you.

There are normally 8 members of the Board - each Board member serves 2 years on election and is eligible for re-election. Four members retire each year. Retiring members this year are
Greg Phillips, Ian McGain, Sam John and Graeme Starnes who may be re-nominated subject to their consent.

Members appointed last time were Andrea Henderson, Christine Berry, Tony Hegan and Bennie Van Der Merwe who come up for election next year and should not now be nominated. Elders should not be nominated as they are automatically members of the Board. Only Communicant Members may be nominated and the roll is on the notice board in the hall.

Nomination forms are on both tables as you enter the church and completed nominations should be placed in the box in the church foyer by 14 December 2025. Please prayerfully consider who to nominate, or speak to any of the current board members or elders should you wish to stand for nomination yourself.

Coming Up:

1) Courtyard Working Bee
Starting
January 12 for 2-3 days. Thank you to all who have signed up but we are more than happy for a few more hands, even if only for half a day or so.

Also, if someone would like to organise lunches for the days we are hard at work please talk to Ian McGain or Don.

 2) Special Event, February 6
The Presbytery of Melbourne North will be meeting here at EPC for the licensing of three graduates from the Theological College. This is their final step in training for pastoral ministry before being eligible to be called by a congregation to be their full time pastor.

So looking ahead, we will need a music group and a kitchen team for supper for this event.
Helen Cameron would love to hear from those who are willing to help with supper for this special event.
