Next DDT: Forgiving – Sept 17 & 24, 7:00–8:00pm. Scripture says we are to forgive as the Father has forgiven us, yet when deep emotions are involved it is one of the hardest things for us to do. This workshop will focus on a set of steps called Forgiving Others . We will ‘road test’ these steps using the story of Joseph. You will also get to take home a similar set of steps called Seeking Forgiveness. Individual follow-up will be available if you want to work on some personal issues of forgiveness as a result of this workshop.
Evergreens: Deirdre will lead everyone in a Sing-along this Wednesday, September 20 at 1:30 pm. Come along and sing some of your favourite hymns, and share in afternoon tea afterwards.
Religion in the Public Square: This is a two day, bi-annual event run by the PCV Church & Nation Committee. It is a forum dealing with current issues to equip us and to provide us with a way to engage with our communities on these matters. It will be held at Scots Church in the city, October 20-21 . Please go to religioninthepublicsquare.org for more information and booking details. You can sign up for all or just various parts of the conference.
