Welcoming DDT: We will conclude this series tonight at 7pm, bringing together everything we’ve been working on so far.

Next DDT: Forgiving – Sept 17 & 24, 7:00–8:00pm. Scripture says we are to forgive as the Father has forgiven us, yet when deep emotions are involved it is one of the hardest things for us to do. This workshop will focus on a set of steps called Forgiving Others. We will ‘road test’ these steps using the story of Joseph. You will also get to take home a similar set of steps called Seeking Forgiveness. Individual follow-up will be available if you want to work on some personal issues of forgiveness as a result of this workshop.

Kingdom Prayer Night: Term 3 Kingdom Prayer Night for the whole church will be tomorrow night, September 11 at 8pm. This is an opportunity for us to gather together and seek His presence and blessing for all we do in His name – as Moses said to the Lord, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.”

Safe Church Training: Saturday September 16   (9.30am – 12.45pm) at SCOTS’ PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, Robert White Hall, 156 Collins Street, CBD. More details at www.safechurchpcv.org.au

Roster Vacancies: There are still some unfilled spots on the new roster, distributed during the week. These are: Church cleaning prior to October 1; Morning tea on September 24, October 1 and November 5; and crèche on November 26. If you are able to help out with any of these, please see Melody.

Religion in the Public Square: This is a two day, bi-annual event run by the PCV Church & Nation Committee. It is a forum dealing with current issues to equip us and to provide us with a way to engage with our communities on these matters. It will be held at Scots Church in the city, October 20-21. Please go to religioninthepublicsquare.org for more information and booking details. You can sign up for all or just various parts of the conference.

Women’s Training Conference: The Presbyterian Theological College is holding its first Women’s Training Conference on Saturday October 28 th . Entitled “ Working For the Kingdom ” it will include preaching and teaching from 2 Thessalonians, and seminars on Leading a Bible Study, and One-to-One Discipleship.
