EP Youth: Meets this afternoon, 4:00-5:30pm to continue our Soul: See Why it all Matters series. Today we look at why Jesus died. We’re planning to order pizza – please let Matt, Rachael, or Andy know that you’ll be there!

For the Kids: Now that the rain has started to come it is good to keep out of the garden so that the soil isn’t compacted and allows the rain to soak in. Of course it is OK to go and fetch a ball from your games. Also, could you leave the pebbles in the garden by the basketball ring and not play with them as it take time to pick them up and put them back. If the older kids could remind the younger ones about this that would be great. Thanks for helping to keep our gardens tidy.

Evergreens: We meet again at 1:30 pm this Wednesday, April 5 for a Bible study, followed by afternoon tea. All welcome.

Eldership Elections: The session is pleased to report that as a result of the elections there was a clear affirmation for all three men whose names were on the recent ballot. The session declared Robert Cameron, Ian Courts and David Graham to be elders-elect with May 7 the most likely date for their ordination and induction into the office. The formal procedure of reading the relevant Edict will happen during today’s service.

Prayer Group: Jesus told us to make disciples “as we are going” (Matt 28:19-20) and to “ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers into His harvest” (Matt 9:37-38). This work is advanced on our knees. The focus of this group is to being praying for people in our individual neighbourhoods. We would love you to join us in prayer for half an hour each Thursday (for 4 more weeks) at Ian Sandham’s, 32 Porter Street, Eltham – 4:30pm. Call Frank Mapperson on 0432 743 673 if you can come or have questions.

DDT 2017: At long last we have a list of workshops for this year’s Deeper Discipleship Training events. The first two events in Term Two are: Bibway: A Road Map to the Bible. Pt1– April 30, A Theological Overview. Pt2—May 21, A Historical Overview. Reformation Theological Distinctives: Looking at core doctrines on the sovereignty of God and how we are saved by His power alone (June 18 & 25). These workshops are especially for anyone who has a teaching ministry at EPC and to make it easier for Sunday School teachers to attend we are planning to run them on Sunday afternoons rather than evenings.

mainly music: Helen Cameron would like to hear from people who are willing to provide morning tea once a term, for this amazing ministry. We are so grateful for the help given in the (almost) three years we have been operating. Please speak to Helen

Licencing & Ordination: Andy Buchan’s licencing and ordination will be held at EPC on Friday 21 st April at 7:30 pm. Supper will be served afterwards, so if you can help with providing food , please contact Helen Cameron.

Garden Maintenance: Caring for the property benefits us all and helps create a positive impression for visitors. There is a clipboard in the foyer listing various tasks which need to be done, with general guidelines for how often they need doing . Included is a weekly calendar to help keep track of when tasks were last done. Please check out the list and see how you might help, then sign off on the task once completed. Please talk to Don if you need more information.
