Kingdom Prayer Night: Monday, March 27, is our first Kingdom Prayer Night for 2017. This is a time for all Growth Groups to come together as one to pray for our outreach ministries and personal contacts with non-churched people. Evening groups are suspended for the week to make it easier for you to attend and seek God’s blessing in our desire for God to use us in growing the Kingdom of Jesus.

Annual Reports: Reports for this year’s ACM (to be held on April 23) need to be presented to the Session at next Tuesday’s meeting. Please get your reports to Melody by Monday .

Youth Group: This afternoon, 4:00-5:30pm (high school ages). We’re continuing in the series “Soul: Why it all Matters” If you haven’t been before, you’re most welcome. Please speak to Matt Napper or Rachael de Pyle for further details.

DDT 2017: At long last we have a list of workshops for this year’s Deeper Discipleship Training events. The first two events in Term Two are: Bibway: A Road Map to the Bible. Pt1– April 30, A Theological Overveiw. Pt2—May 21, A Historical Overview. Reformation Theological Distinctives: Looking at core doctrines on the sovereignty of God and how we are saved by His power alone (June 18 & 25). These workshops are especially for anyone who has a teaching ministry at EPC and to make it easier for Sunday School teachers to attend we are planning to run them on Sunday afternoons rather than evenings.

Funeral: There will be a funeral for long time member, Lil Thompson, at 11am, Wednesday the 29 th of March. While it has been a long time since Lil was able to attend church it would be great if EPC could be well represented as a mark of respect to her and comfort to the family.

Women’s Conference: Entrust Women are holding their 2017 conference at Belgrave Heights on May 6. The theme is Press On, and is based on the life-changing words of Paul, in Philippians 2&3. Flyers are available on the foyer table. Earlybird registrations close on March 26.

Street Parking: As a courtesy to our neighbours it really helps if we make an effort to park only on the church side of the street . This is a good principle to follow whenever we attend a meeting or event on our property. Let’s do the best we can to be good neighbours and not make Batman Rd an unnecessarily difficult street for ourselves and others.

Open Table: Open Table is a chance to connect with each other over a catered meal. We plan to hold this twice each term, in the hall. Please come and eat; bring your family, friends and neighbours. The next meal will be held on the 26th March at 5.30pm in the Hall. Baked Potatoes are on the menu with loads of fillings choices! Please RSVP using the Connect Form inside your notice sheet. How much is it? $6 for adults; $4 for children; under 3s are free.

Open Table: We need a group of people to help set up and pack up . There are tables and chairs that need manoeuvring. The organising team would love some more helpers too and you don’t need to be a cook to join!  If you would like to be a part of the set up/pack up team or the organising team please fill out the Connect Form accordingly.

Garden Maintenance: Caring for the property benefits us all and helps create a positive impression for visitors. There is a clipboard in the foyer listing various tasks which need to be done, with general guidelines for how often they need doing . Included is a weekly calendar to help keep track of when tasks were last done. Please check out the list and see how you might help, then sign off on the task once completed. Please talk to Don if you need more information.

Licencing & Ordination: Andy Buchan’s licencing and ordination will be held at EPC on Friday 21 st April at 7:30 pm. Supper will be served afterwards, so if you can help with providing food, please talk to Helen Cameron.

Op Shop Formal: This is a PYV event to be held at Donvale Presbyterian Church, 5 McGowans Road, Donvale, on 25 th March. The cost is $12. Replies to pyv.org.au by March 18. All funds raised will be used by PYV’s 2017 mission team to Malawi, to purchase play equipment and fruit trees for Orbus.

Future Events: The Board will hold a Working Bee on Saturday 29 th April. Please put this date in your diaries now.
