Lord’s Supper: This has been postponed until next Sunday, 13th November.
EP Youth: Meets at 4:00pm – thanks to Truman and Rachael for leading this week! This term’s theme is Raw Emotion, and we’re looking at Psalms.
DDT Tonight! Gospel Conversations. This will help us learn how to have conversations about the deeper things of life with non-Christians: family, neighbours, work or sporting contacts, etc. With the Eltham Festival and Christmas coming up it is a really good time for us to get some encouragement and practice at having conversations that might lead to talking about Jesus. Time: 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the hall.
Kingdom Prayer Night: This term’s Kingdom Prayer night will be held tomorrow, Monday 7th November, 8:00pm @ the church. Everyone is welcome to come along and pray for the festival, gingerbread event, carols, and Christmas outreach opportunities coming up soon. As usual, regular growth groups will be suspended for this week.
Eltham Festival Update: Come and be involved for an hour or so to hand out bags or look after the book table at the tent (between 8am-5pm next Sunday 13th November)- speak to Andy today please. This is an important opportunity for our church as we reach out to Eltham and beyond.
Christmas Child Appeal: Thank you to every-one who filled a shoe box or donated money for postage. 119 Shoe boxes and $172 in postage donations have been delivered to Samaritans Warehouse in Mitcham. Thank you to all the helpers young and not so young that helped with carrying the boxes to the car. Your help was over whelming and much appreciated.
Evergreens: Lunch at the Eltham Hotel, Wednesday 16th November at 12:30pm. Please contact Sue to RSVP and if you need transport.
Gingerbread House Workshop: This will be held on Saturday 3rd December at 10 a.m. Orders for this event need to be in by November 13th. Take home kits and Gluten free options are available. Please see Andrea Henderson for more details.
Indoor Carols – 10th December: We’d like a team to be involved in setup, catering (sausage sizzle), and pack up for this event. Please speak to Andy if you can help.
Craft Group: The Craft Group have Christmas Cards for sale in the hall. Proceeds to go to Missions. $3 each card or $6 for a pack of 3, with different designs per pack. Please see Maggie, Andrea or Judy.
GENERAL UPDATES:
Stage Light Appeal: Thank you for all who have responded so far. Another $300 will enable us to get the two par cans to add colour to the back of the stage area. Please make a donation via Internet banking – marked “Lighting” – or in a clearly marked envelope with the offering.
