Today: We have a team of people at our Think-Life-Think-Jesus tent at the Eltham Festival. This is a major outreach event for us that runs from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Pray that we make contact with many people though the face painting, Gospel bracelets, Gospel show bags, books and through general conversation with passers by.
Lord’s Supper: Please note we use Gluten Free biscuits so that everyone can participate fully.
Safe Church Training: There are two central Basic Training sessions which are now open for registration – these are the final sessions to be held for 2016 which are delivered in person by the Safe Church Facilitator. These will be held at THE SCOTS’ CHURCH – ROBERT WHITE HALL ,156 Collins Street Melbourne on Saturday 19th November 2016 – 9.30am – 12.30pm and Thursday 1st December 2016- 6pm – 9pm . Register your attendance up to 48 hours prior by email or text to SCU – 0499 090 449.
Working Bee: This has been set for Saturday 26 th November . Please make an effort to come – even if it’s just for an hour or two – to tidy up the gardens, do some planting, wash windows, remove cobwebs and all the other things which will present our property in its best light. Jobs to be done are listed on the noticeboard in the hall, and on the table in the foyer.
Gingerbread House Workshop: This will be held on Saturday 3rd December at 10 a.m. Orders for this event need to be in by TODAY . Take home kits and Gluten free options are available. Please see Andrea Henderson for more details.
Village to Village Appeal: Since 2013 we have helped cover the costs for many young people from Kanini’s home village and surrounding are to attend the African Inland Mission youth camp. We would like to do the same thing this year. This is a great way for us as Kanini’s new community to bless the youth of her old community with the opportunity for good Bible teaching. Donations may be made in the box on the table. If you are donating online, please add the reference V2V.
Evergreens: Lunch at the Eltham Hotel, Wednesday 16th November at 12:30pm. Please contact Sue to RSVP and if you need transport.
Indoor Carols – 10th December: We’d like a team to be involved in setup, catering (sausage sizzle), and pack up for this event. Please speak to Andy if you can help.
Craft Group: The Craft Group have Christmas Cards for sale in the hall. Proceeds to go to Missions. $3 each card or $6 for a pack of 3, with different designs per pack.
GENERAL UPDATES:
Stage Light Appeal: Thank you for all who have responded so far. Another $200 will enable us to get the two par cans to add colour to the back of the stage area. Please make a donation via Internet banking – marked “Lighting” – or in a clearly marked envelope with the offering.
