Eltham Festival Update: Come   and be involved for an hour or so to hand out bags or look after the book table at the tent ( between 8am-5pm Sunday 13th November )- speak to Andy today please. This is an important event for our church as we reach out to Eltham and beyond.

Kingdom Prayer Night: This term’s Kingdom Prayer night will be held on  Monday 7th November, 8:00pm @ the church. Everyone is welcome to come along and pray for the festival, gingerbread, carols, and Christmas outreach opportunities coming up soon. As usual, regular growth groups will be suspended on that week.

Indoor Carols – 10th December: We’d like a team to be involved in setup, catering (sausage sizzle), and pack up for this event. Please speak to Andy if you can help.

Today is Collection Sunday for Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Boxes . Thank you to all those who have contributed boxes.

Servanthood Roster: It’s time once again to be thinking of where, when and how you might serve. The new roster will cover the months of December, January and February. Because so many people take holidays during this time it is often difficult to put the roster together. Please be mindful of this when you give Melody the dates when you won’t be available. New helpers are always welcome, so if you haven’t been on the roster before, please talk to Melody about what is involved. Preferences need to be sent to Melody by Friday 4 th November.

Gingerbread House Workshop: This will be held on Saturday 3 rd December at 10 a.m. Orders for this event need to be in by November 13 th . Take home kits and Gluten free options are available. Please see Andrea Henderson for more details.

Stage Light Appeal: Thank you for all who have responded so far. We have raised more than $1,200! This has allowed us to order the two LED spotlights, DMX controller and connecting cables. It would be great to be able to add the LED par cans to this (another $450). We can leave the final installation until next year if we need to.

Evergreens: We will meet again this Wednesday 2 nd October, at 1:30 pm for a DVD about the friendship/relationship between a Jew and a Palestinian, followed by afternoon tea and a time of fellowship. All welcome.

Men’s Breakfast: Today is the last day to register for our breakfast at 8.30 am at the Eltham Gateway this Saturday 5th November. Come along and hear Dr Bernie Powers speak on The Islamic View of Jesus . Cost is $25 per head. EPC will cover the cost of invited guests and fathers may bring their sons for half price. Please RSVP to Ian Courts 9434 6237.

DDT Next Week: Gospel Conversations – will continue next Sunday, Nov 6. This will help us learn how to have conversations about the deeper things of life with non-Christians: family, neighbours, work or sporting contacts and so on. With the Eltham Festival and Christmas coming up it is a really good time for us to get some encouragement and practice at having conversations that might lead to talking about Jesus. Time: 7:00pm-8:00pm in the hall.
