Gardens: We would like to remind the children not to walk on the garden beds, especial up by the basketball hoop. If you can leave the pebbles in the garden and not play with them that would be appreciated too. Thank you.
New Path Work: Most of you will have noticed the cement path that is now between the manse, main gate and the church. It is an important improvement to our property.
Evergreens: Josh and Sybille Bouzanquet will be talking about what they will be doing in 2017.
Gingerbread Event: Invitations are out today! Set aside Saturday Dec 3. Cost $20 per house. RSVP by November 13.
Christmas Boxes: Thank you to those who have taken boxes for Samaritans purse Christmas child appeal. It is only two weeks until Collection Sunday, October 30. If you have any last minute enquiries please contact Maxine Fowler 94397971.
Men’s Breakfast: Our annual breakfast will be held at the Eltham Gateway at 8.30 am on Saturday 5th November. Our keynote speaker will be Bernie Power speaking on Islam’s view of Jesus. Cost is $25 per head including an extensive full buffet breakfast. Please set aside time to attend and hear Bernie and enjoy time with other men over breakfast.
Stage Lights: Today we are starting an appeal for two different types of lights to enhance the stage area. Spotlights to light up the area in general, especially where the pulpit is, and LED par cans to provide a more decorative backdrop. The donation box is available in the entrance. If donating by via internet please put ‘lighting’ in the reference.
Marriage Enrichment : In recent weeks we have been advertising a marriage enrichment workshop. We are looking for a minimum of 4-5 couples to sign up. Please see the form on the main table in the foyer. This is the last day for signing up. After doing the on-line assessment ($42) we will have workshops Nov 18 & 25.
Working Bee: This will be held this Saturday, the 22 nd . A preliminary list has been displayed on the noticeboard in the hall, and on the table in the foyer. Please consider where you may be able to help. Free BBQ sausages for lunch!
