ELTHAM FESTIVAL OUTREACH 2019
Thanks to the team for all your efforts last Sunday – a summary page from Andy is in available in the foyer.
STREET SIGNS
After a long wait we have new signs on both Batman and Main Roads. Pray that God would use them to give us greater visibility.
MEMORY VERSE CHALLENGE
Kids, last week it was Romans 8:28. Learn a memory verse during the week and share it with Andy next Sunday to receive a prize. This week’s passage: ” For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39).
BOARD OF MANAGEMENT NOMINATIONS
Nominations are now open for positions on the Board of Management. At least 6 nominations are required. Four members are retiring and are eligible for re-nomination, plus we need to fill two long standing
existing vacancies. Please carefully consider standing as we need a full complement on the Board to ensure we operate smoothly. Nomination forms are available as you enter the church. Completed forms
should either be placed in the ballot box in the foyer or handed to the Session Clerk by midday tomorrow.
NEW APPOINTMENT
The session is pleased to announce that Marie Van Ravesteyn has been appointed to lead the Outreach Influence Team. Her key responsibilities are to promote and facilitate the Organic Outreach Model as we seek to deepen our outreach mindset in every ministry and in every individual from our pastors all the way down to our children.
VILLAGE2VILLAGE
Each year we take the opportunity to fund youth from Kanini’s home village in Kenya to attend a week-long Christian Camp where they get great Bible teaching and make friends with many other Christian youth. It takes less than a McDonald’s meal to cover the full cost of the camp for one person! This is an easy way for Kanini’s new home village, that being us, to bless her original home village with something of eternal value. The camp is in first week in December. We will be collecting donations tomorrow and next Sunday.
mainly music
If you would like to take up the opportunity to donate a Christmas book ($7 each) for a mainly music family, please speak to Emily Graham.
