10th November 2019
GOSPEL DNA Series
This four-part teaching series in November continues today:
COME > GROW > SERVE > LIVE.

TODAY
Be prayerful in your heart throughout the service for our team of people representing Jesus on our behalf down at the Eltham Festival.
NEXT SUNDAY
Next Sunday we will have another church membership event as well as a special invitation to be part of the life and witness of our mainly music ministry.
PRAYER REQUESTS FOR SUNDAYS AT EPC
The Session together with the Pastoral Care team would like to introduce a new approach to prayer requests. Rather than receiving them at the foyer door, we are planning to provide an opportunity for prayer with an elder and pastoral care person after the service each Sunday. This will allow for more personalised prayer on a greater range of topics not always suitable for airing in public. We will still include prayer for important matters impacting EPC regulars during the service when appropriate. If you have a prayer point to possibly include in public prayers a special email address ( prayer@elthampc.com.au ) has been set up for that purpose, or you could phone the church number 9439 9720. You can also use this email just to let the elders and Pastoral Care Team what you would like them to prayer for on your behalf. We will soon announce when the new system starts – but you can use the email straight away!
STREET SIGNS
After a long wait we have new signs on both Batman and Main Roads. Pray that God would use them to give us greater visibility.
MEMORY VERSE CHALLENGE
Kids, remember to come up to Don today with your verse from last week (Romans 8:14). Learn a memory verse during the week and share it Andy next Sunday to receive a prize. This week’s passage: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
BOARD OF MANAGEMENT NOMINATIONS
Nominations are now open for positions on the Board of Management. Self-explanatory nomination forms are available as you enter the church. Completed forms should either be placed in the ballot box in the foyer or handed to the Session Clerk by 12 midday on 17 November.
NEW DIRECTORY
The Directory is now being distributed. Many thanks to Helen Cameron for taking lots of the photos and to Sheila Stewart for converting them to a usable size (with no compromise to quality). Please check your entry and see Melody if a mistake has been made. If you want a second copy, please indicate this on the sheet in the foyer.
