Special Event

August 21, 7:30-9:30pm —  Why we need Jesus’ help with our sexualities.  Ed Shaw will help us see how Jesus is just the man we need to help us with the sexual confusion we are all experiencing. We will “live stream” this from Moore Theological College, Sydney, in the same way we streamed the excellent Sam Allberry webinair conference in 2017.

Ed Shaw (pastor of Emmanuel City Centre, Bristol in the UK) experiences same-sex attraction and is committed to the biblical teaching of fidelity in heterosexual marriage and celibacy in singleness. He is one of the founders of  www.livingout.org  and author of ‘The Plausibility Problem’.

 

City Lunch

EPC Monthly City Lunch – Tuesday July 30 . Food Court ST. COLLINS LANE (Level 2 at 260 Collins Street) – ½ way between Swanston Street & Elizabeth Street. take the escalator up to level 2 we will meet at about 12:30pm at the Food court. Lyn will mind tables and chairs near “Sushi Boto”. Come along if you can, please bring a friend, work colleague and purchase whatever food choice you would like ( or you can bring your own lunch). If anyone that feels like a trip to the city for lunch just please along.

 

Gardening Team

Meeting at 10am Saturday August 3 . Main activity will be weeding and tidying the upper garden. Morning Tea supplied.

 

Young Adults

Anyone in year 12 and over – Thursdays, 7:45pm at Andy & Taimi’s place.

 

Youth Group

Friday August 2 is a hang out night. 7:30-9:30pm at Bundy. (No dinner this night.) Please see Andy if you need a lift.

 

PYV North Camp

Bookings have opened for this camp in September (21st-23rd) – for anyone aged 12 up to year 12.

Encounter Culture

Relationship building course led by Wycliffe Bible Translators.  Dates:  Four evenings – Wed 31/7    Wed 7/8   Wed 14/8    Wed 21/8. Cost: $10.00.   Times:  7:15pm for a cuppa to start at 7:30pm (2 hrs).  Location:  Diamond Valley Baptist Church, 309 Diamond Creek Rd, Plenty. Religion in the Public Square 2019

The Church & Nation Committee of the PCV is running this major event in November 15-16. There will be local and international presenters and the theme will  Faithfulness to Christ in a Hostile Culture.  Flyers are available or go to  religioninthepublicsquare.org
