Our next Deeper Discipleship training event will be Just Start Talking : Introducing Jesus into your conversations. This three week DVD series, presented by Colin Buchanan and Samantha Boog, starts this evening at 7:00pm , and continues on the following two Sundays. It is designed to help us find natural and appropriate ways to introduce a spiritual angle into everyday events as well as our own faith in Jesus.

Working Bee

Our first Working Bee for the year will now be held on Saturday May 11 . There’s a variety of jobs to be done, so there’ll be something for everyone to help with. These include: staining the timber work of the church foyer; some gardening, including the planting of new plants; removal of curtains and tracks in the office; removal of cobwebs; cleaning the Portable, BBQ, Stove; cleaning of gutters around buildings, drainage pits and roof gutters. The Gardening Team will combine with the Working Bee for May. An email containing more detail will be circulated asap, but please plan to be here for at least some of the time.

Belgrave Heights Men’s Convention: May 24-25

The theme this year is Life on the Road. Registration forms are now available on the table in the foyer. If you want lunch on the Saturday, you will need to register by register by May 20 .

New Books

Three new books have been added to our Lending Library: Organic Outreach for Churches , Organic Outreach for Families , Organic Outreach for Ordinary People. These are from the ministry which ran the conference Don and Ian attended last month. It is our intention to use their model as we review and restructure our ministries and goals so that everything we do is linked in with our desire to see people come to faith in Jesus.

Recent Appeals

Recent appeals have seen $525 donated via the box for Mozambique and $215 for the Good Friday appeal. Other amounts may have been given via online giving, and we thank you for your generosity.

100 Day+ Bible Challenge

The final edition of our Bible Challenge with the preaching agenda for May and June is now available. Even if you haven’t been doing the Challenge up to this point please join us for the final two months.

Youth Group Term 2

Bundy Youth 7:00-9:30pm next Friday May 10 is a small groups night, with dinner provided. Please speak to Andy if you would like a ride.

Servanthood Roster

We will be reverting to quarterly rosters from June. Please consider when you will be available for the roster for the period June 2 to August 25. If you’d like to be on the roster , please contact Melody for a list of duties involved. New volunteers are always welcome! Please give Melody your dates by May 9.
