Sunday School
Franciska is still looking for one more teacher and one more helper (teacher assistant) for the year 4-6 class. Activity Sheets are available for SS aged children which are based on the theme from the main message for the day.
100 Day+ Bible Challenge
We officially started on Jan 28 but you can still join in! Just start from tomorrow’s reading or, if you want, give yourself the challenge of catching up with last week’s readings too. Note that on Thursdays the reading is from the passage in Acts that Sunday’s message is based on. Also, if you picked up a reading plan on Sunday the 20th, please note that there are some cut & paste errors in that version so down load the corrected one from our web page (under resources) or pick up a fresh copy from the table.
Evergreens
We start again on February 6, at 1:30 pm in the hall. Appropriately, our first afternoon is a Bible study, led by Don, followed as usual by afternoon tea and a time of fellowship. This group is open to anyone who would like to come along, so please do come and support us as we start a new year. Activities for the 3 rd Wednesday of each month will be announced in the week prior.
mainly music
Thank you to everyone who took toys and equipment home to clean. The mainly music team really appreciates your help. We do have many items which are still in need of a wash, or wiping over. Christy will be available after church to help you.
Growth Groups
We will restart our Evening Groups the week of Feb 11 and we will be studying the passage in Acts that is for the coming Sunday’s message. If you haven’t been in a group we would love for you to join us. Currently we have 2 on Monday evenings and one on Thursday evening, 8pm-9:30pm. Please talk to Don if you want to join this part of our church community.
Deeper Discipleship Training
Our first DDT for 2019 will be Personal Bible Reading – Feb 10 & 17 at 3:30pm . Our second one will be How to Listen to Sermons – Feb 24 & March 3 at 7:30pm . These both connect in with the 100 Day+ Challenge.
Youth Group
EPC Youth currently join in with the Bundoora Presbyterian Church Youth Group on Friday nights. In the future we plan to set up our own program but until then we will benefit from their excellent resources. The first term program is available for you to pick up . It would be good for families with year 7-12 children to connect with each other and share driving. Please talk to Don or Andy to get help with this or if you have any questions. Next Friday, Feb 8 is a small group night, so includes dinner. 7:00 to 9:30pm.
Craft Group 2019
Craft Group meets every Friday at 1pm in the hall. We have varied crafts for this year. Everyone is welcome to join us in the fun and fellowship. For more details, please speak to Judy or Maggie.
Preaching for 2019
From Jan 27 to March 31 messages will be from Acts 16 to 21. In April we return to Isaiah 51 to 54. May and June are yet to be finalised. Each Sunday’s text will be incorporated into our 100 Day Reading Challenge to help you get a head start on the message for that coming week.
Lost Property
There are a number of items in the shelves in the hall which have been there for an extended time. Please take them if they are yours. Anything left after next weekend will be rehoused. Thank you.
Opportunities 2019
Recently we handed out the Ministry Opportunities forms for 2019. It takes a church wide team of people to make EPC an active, healthy congregation. We would love you to start thinking about your contribution and participation in the life and ministry of this church and using your time and gifts to serve Jesus in this way. If you didn’t get the handout please pick one up in the foyer. Response forms can be placed in the Connect Box on the small table.
