November Preaching Series: In November we will focus on our DNA as a church by reflecting on the Maturity Pathway of Encounter Jesus, Grow in Jesus, Serve Jesus and Influence for Jesus . Each week will be a different theme helping us think about our own walk as followers of Jesus as well as what we should be on about as a church.

N2N:  Two weeks ago we handed out the Neighbour To Neighbour leaflet,  Getting Started. If you didn’t get a copy then copies are available in the foyer. One fundamental aspect of being a follower of Jesus is that we are very deliberate in developing Gospel shaped relationships with non-churched people. As we want this to be part of the DNA of every member of EPC we would like each person to have a copy of  Getting Started  and putting it into practice. If we are all deliberate about forming meaningful relationships and taking them to the next level we will go a long way towards fulling our vision of  Spreading Hope Through Jesus to Eltham and Beyond. A growing church starts with you and me.

Board of Management Nominations: Nominations for Board of Management positions are now open. We have four positions to fill. Nomination forms are available on the entry table and completed nominations should be left in the box or handed to the Session Clerk by midday of 25th November 2018.

Thank You: Thank you to everyone who provided supper and helped out on Friday night for Andy’s induction; and to everyone who came along to help at the working bee on Saturday. The results of your work are there for everyone to see and appreciate.

Village 2 Village:  In recent years we have had the privilege of helping young people from Kanini Mapperson’s home village in Kenya attend a Christian conference to learn and grow in God’s word. It takes only a few of our dollars to send someone to this week long camp so through your generosity we have provided for over 100 young people each year we have been involved. Look for the specially marked box to make your donation. You are also welcome to use direct giving too, just label it V2V.

EPC Blokes Night:  Join us for a low key men’s night out with a spit roast dinner, Saturday, November 24 at 6:30pm. We also plan to have our resident busker providing us with music as we hang out together and enjoy our food. This is a great event to invite a non-churched friend to. Cost will be $15 per person and it would be a nice gesture to “shout” your non-churched friend. Generosity builds friendships! Please RSVP to Don by tomorrow, November 19.

Open Table: We’ll be having a BBQ on November 25, starting at 5:30pm. Please remember to RSVP to Taimi by Tuesday November 20. ( opentable@elthampc.com.au

Evergreens: Our break up lunch will be held on November 21, with invitations now available. Please let one of the team know if you are intending to come.

Missions Afternoon Tea: Be encouraged and expand your view of God. Come along to hear from our Gospel Partners, Rhys and Rhondda Hall, who will be sharing about what God is doing in South Sudan. Delicious afternoon tea included. Saturday November 24 at 2.30pm in the church hall. Cost: free! Please put your name down on the sign up sheet in the foyer or RSVP to Jenni 9439 6071 if you’re coming so we know how many scones to bake.
