Ministry Opportunities 2018:
It takes a large team to run ministries and to manage the practical side of maintaining a healthy and active church. Please consider the ways you can serve Jesus and contribute to the life and witness of the EPC community. Please place your response form in the box on the little table. Thank you to those who have already responded.
Next Servanthood Roster:
It is almost time for Melody to start putting the next Servanthood roster together. For those of you who are new to the church, or who haven’t been on the roster before, the areas most in need of helpers are: collecting and counting the offering; church cleaning; morning tea and crèche. If you would like to help out, but would like more details before committing, please contact Melody , either after church, or via the contact details on the News Sheet. This next period will cover the months of March, April and May. Please let Melody know if there are dates which don’t suit you.
Growth Group Sign-Up:
Every two years or so we restructure our evening growth groups to broaden the number of people we get to know and have deeper Christian fellowship with. The sign-up sheet asks for you to list your preferences for Monday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings as well as listing the evenings that are not possible. The sign-up sheet with instruction is on the table in the foyer. (The evening groups are run separately from the Ladies Group, Young Adults and Evergreens.)
Open Table:
Open Table is happening again this year. Our first date is February 4 – just two weeks away. Hamburgers are on the menu this time. As usual Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegetarian options are available. There are invitations on the foyer table, for you to pass on to guests you might like to invite along. As for last year, costs for ‘All You Can Eat’ are Adults $6, children $4 and under 3s eat free. Please contact Taimi if you’d like to know more.

As mentioned in our presentation near the end of last term, we have an annual toy-cleaning day to help keep our equipment hygienic and in good order. It is coming up on Thursday 25 th January . If you are able to help on that morning, or if you would be willing to take a box of toys home to clean, please speak to Christy or one of the team today. There are a number of other ways to help during the year – if you are interested in finding out more, we would LOVE to hear from you! It would be fantastic to have more helpers in this valuable, at-times-challenging, but really enjoyable ministry. Please speak to Emily or one of the team. Thank you!
Safe Church Basic Training – save the dates:
For those who are looking to be newly involved in Children’s ministry or any leadership roles at EPC, Andy will be running this training on two Thursday evenings, February 1 and 8. Please see Andy to register.
