Considering Membership? Following on from eldership training earlier in the year the Session has decided to hold elections early in February 2017. Because voting for elders is a very important matter only those who are formally ‘Communicant Members’ of the congregation are allowed to participate in the voting. Talk to Andy or Don if you would like to become a member before we vote for new elders next year.

Board of Management Elections: Nominations for Board elections are due and will be received over the next two Sundays, 11 th and 18 th December . The retiring members this time are David Burt, Robert Cameron, Melody Telley and David Timmins, who may be re-nominated subject to their approval.  The members that were elected/appointed last time are Marie van Ravesteyn, David Graham, Garreth Le Page and Simon Armstrong, who come up for re election next year and should not now be nominated. Nomination forms will be available from next Sunday.

Indoor Carols – 10th December:  We’d like a team to be involved in setup, catering (sausage sizzle), and pack up for this event. Please speak to Andy if you can help.

Bookstall: We have a selection of Christian books available for purchase in the hall.  Great for Christmas gift ideas, or some summer reading. There is a range of material – personal and family devotional books, biographies, books on various issues of interest or tricky questions, books for all ages – young children, teens and youth, and adults.  The bookstall will be available until the end of December, so enjoy having a browse and maybe saving you a trip out to Koorong!

EP Youth: Meets this afternoon at 4:00pm for their end of year break up.

Army: December 18th will be Josh & Sybille Bouzanquet’s last formal Sunday with us. As well as being the last time Josh preaches for us there will be a special part of the service conducted by Martin de Pyle where Josh will be promoted to the rank of captain as part of his final step to full time army chaplaincy.

Air Force: Next year Nathan Runham and family will be joining us at EPC. He will be full time at the College in 2017, then he will do his two year internship with us as part of the leadership team. Nathan, who is currently a Flight Lieutenant in the Air Force is making a career change into chaplaincy for the Air Force.

Navy: Former EPC member, Max Walker, is currently serving as chaplain on Australia’s largest ship, HMAS Canberra. Next year he is moving to HMAS Albatross near Nowra. It is Australia’s largest operational Naval establishment and supports three Naval Air Squadrons. [We need to be praying for all our chaplains and particularly for Martin de Pyle who is or is about to be overseas for a few weeks.]
