Kingdom Prayer Night: This Monday evening, 5th September at 8:00pm, is our Kingdom Prayer Night for term 3. All the evening Growth Groups come together to focus on praying for God’s Kingdom to grow and for our ability to Spread Hope Though Jesus to Eltham and Beyond. We are called to prayer and these evenings should rate as the most important events in the life of EPC. Please come even if you are not in an evening Growth Group.
Christmas Boxes: One of our traditions at EPC is to be involved with the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Boxes. This year we are looking for a volunteer to co-ordinate and promote this ministry. If you would like to do this please talk to Don for more details.
Notepad: We are trialing a new handout for you to use to record sermon notes. Our primary goal is to provide a teaching tool for our teenagers and young adults to help them take notes and reflect on each message. It is important that our young people make the transition from Sunday School to a more grown up faith and knowing how to get the most out of sermons will help this happen. As most people remember more when they write notes so we are making this notepad available to everyone.
Youth Group: Youth group will not be meeting this afternoon, 4th September.
Evergreens: We will meet again this Wednesday 7th September, at 1:30 pm in the hall for a Bible study, afternoon tea and a time of fellowship. All welcome.
Missions Breakfast: Come along at 8:30 am on Saturday 17th September for this year’s Missions Breakfast to hear Marg Docking talk about the work she is doing with “Wise Choices For Life”. Invitation cards are now available, as well as a sign up sheet. For enquiries, please see Melody or Sheila.
PREPARE/ENRICH: To help promote and strengthen marriages we will be offering to run a ‘marriage enrichment’ workshop based on a well researched course. Don, Andy and Josh are all trained to run this course. The idea is that couples will have to sign up well in advance and do an on-line assessment (cost $42). Then we will run two Friday evening group sessions to explain what the assessments mean. There will also be the option of some one-on-one work afterwards if you would like that.
