Pastoral Care Zones

The congregation is divided up into three broad Pastoral Care Zones with different Pastoral Care team members assigned to each zone. To help highlight these zones we are going to hold three separate Sunday events - either an after church lunch or 5:00pm evening meal. The goal is to create a sense of fellowship with those who live in the same zone and to help us be more aware who our Pastoral Carers are.

Our three zones are East, West and South. The divisions are not exact and have some flexibility built into them. You will soon receive personal invitations to your zone event.

The dates are:
WEST: June
2EAST: June 1
6SOUTH: June 23

Safe Church Refresher Course

Everyone who is currently safe church approved in our congregation, every year needs to complete the Safe Church Refresher Course in order to maintain the Safe Church Basic Training.

Once you have completed the Refresher Course please email Holly Bligh, who is the Safe Church rep at EPC at administration@elthampc.org.au so she can record that you've completed it for this year.

We are asking all Safe Church Approved members of our congregation to complete the Refresher Course and notify the Safe Church Rep that they have done so no later than July 2024.

The Safe Church Refresher Course is a brief online presentation available at the PCV Safe Church YouTube Channel, designed to ensure adherence to Safe Church policy, procedure and practice. An offline version of the Safe Church Refresher Course is available for those people without access to the internet - contact the Safe Church Unit to have this directly posted by mail. Alternatively it can be downloaded HERE.

Click HERE for the online Safe Church Refresher Course. Paper copies of the refresher course are also on the table in the entrance to the church in a big yellow folder. Anyone can take a paper copy and read through it to complete the refresher course.

Sunday School Compassion Support

The Sunday School children have been supporting children through Compassion for many years. In the past, coin donations were brought each week and a collection taken in the Sunday School classes. Since Covid, we stopped the weekly donations and replaced them with boxes for each family to collect money in at home, with specific Sundays set aside for them to be brought to church. 

This Sunday, May 5, is one of those collection days. Anyone is welcome to contribute to the support of our two sponsor children. You can bring cash this Sunday or make a bank transfer to EPC at any time, referencing Compassion.

Food Share

We know that there are many families in Australia struggling to put food on their tables let alone pay their mortgages. It is a privilege to see families from our fellowship support others, by either, donating financially, or through our food share box. Our box is currently empty. If you are able to help fill it, it is much appreciated, we would love to see it overflowing!

Women's Ministries Victoria On the Road Conference 2024

Women of EPC,
It's less than a month until Women's Ministries Victoria's On the Road conference for 2024 begins in Reservoir on Saturday 1st June!

On the Road is a fantastic opportunity to gather together with Christian women from around the state and engage in faithful Bible teaching by women, for women.

There will be a group of women from EPC going along, if you let Bec know that you're planning to come, then we can arrange carpooling.
It will be a wonderful time to join together, to hear from God's word with great teaching and fellowship.
