Saying Hello

In addition to our Sunday chat rooms and to help increase a sense of togetherness on a Sunday morning, we are looking for people who might be interested in recording a video greeting to the wider EPC church community. It could be a simple as “Hi from ……, we are fine but miss you all” – recorded from your kitchen, couch, backyard or even out on a walk.

It would be a small yet friendly way to see and hear from each other. If you are interested in the idea please contact Don or Andy. (As well as this, please don’t forget that it is a blessing to pick up your phone and call someone whenever you are thinking of them!).

Connections Survey

We’d love to hear from you regarding your connection with Sunday services and our groups online. We have put together an online survey to provide feedback and to help us understand how we are engaging and connecting with each other – please follow this link – Andy & Don.

Kid’s Craft Activities

Thanks to Sarah Ross again there are some activities for the children to have a go at for this week. Follow the links to the appropriate age group and follow along with her instructions on YouTube.

2. Craft (for older kids): https://youtu.be/lU4eOP0x57Q

Only Just – Online

A note from Jenni Ambridge – the shop is closed due to restrictions and hopes to reopen in September, but the online shop is open with free postage within 5 km of Eltham town. Please note this is a non for profit & fair-trade organisation.

21 Days of Prayer for the Persecuted

One of our annual activities is to pray for persecuted Christians around the world and make a special donation to help Bible League send Bibles to strengthen their faith.

The 21 Days of Prayer Diary has been scanned onto 6 separate pages and placed them as PDF copies in two different places (use the one which works best for you).

There is also a document with the link to the weekly videos on the Bible League website. It is worth watching one each week along with your daily prayers for persecuted Christians from different countries. Instruction for making a donation are also in this document .

Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Shoe Boxes

OCCtober (OCC= Operation Christmas Child) will be the National Collection Month for this project. Under the current situation, it is not possible for our Church to organize our usual collection and distribution of these boxes, so we will be in touch with what happens from here with those.

One way you can be involved right now is a donation for The Greatest Journey – a gospel resource that goes along with the shoeboxes.

See the video below for more information.

Thank you.   Maxine Fowler and Judy Flett.

This Sunday will be the final in our Walking with Jesus series in Colossians:

Coming up next:
