Covid-19 and how it affects our meeting together

SUNDAY SERVICES

OFF: Regular Sunday services are cancelled due to current restrictions. Even though we could organise smaller gatherings we believe it is wise to err on the side of caution as a way to care for and protect as many people as possible.

ON: LIVE STREAMING ! We will run a shortened service with a skeleton crew and test technology that will stream the service into your home via YouTube starting at 10:00am. Andy has set up a special page for this on our website ( www.elthampc.com.au/livestream/ ). If the live feed doesn’t work as well as we hope at your end or ours, the video service should be uploaded by 11:00am on Sunday. (The audio of the message will continue to be uploaded as always if you prefer that option.)

We want to provide a measure of normalcy for you and your family and plan to provide Activity Sheets via email (maybe not this week) as we usually do during School Holidays. We are also looking into providing worksheets related to the Sunday School material as we anticipate the current restrictions will still be in force when Term 2 starts.

YOUTH GROUP
OFF: It is our recommendation that you do not send your youth to Bundoora’s final event for the term but we will leave the final decision to parents.

GOSPEL PRAYER NIGHT
ON: Our prayer night for term 1 will be on this Monday evening, March 23, at 8:00pm. This is a very important time for us to gather and pray. Appropriate social distancing procedures will take place. Only come if you feel comfortable to do so and have no signs of cold or flu like symptoms.

WORKING BEE
ON/OFF: Tomorrow’s working bee will be limited to smaller items and be shorter in duration with no morning tea. Using your own tools and practising care in our personal interactions will be encouraged. Only come if you feel comfortable to do so and have no signs of cold or flu like symptoms.

GOOD FRIDAY
OFF: The combined Good Friday Service in the town square has been cancelled. We will provide a short live streaming service from EPC. Details will be sent out later.

GROWTH GROUPS
OFF: Our normal groups are closed until further notice.

TEMPORARY SMALL GROUPS
PLANNING: We are planning to start up temporary small gatherings to be held at EPC because this will allow us to accommodate recommended spacing between individuals. There will be a variety of evening and day time gatherings to foster our social connections with each other. A devotion and prayer time will be included. (Stay tuned for more details)

GIVING
ON: It is important that we continue to support the work of the church through our regular giving and we encourage you to take up on line giving as we don’t know when we will be meeting in person for normal Sunday services. Details on how to do this and a financial update will be sent out soon.
