or for personal prayer afterwards, an Elder and Pastoral Carer will be at the front of the church immediately after the service.
TODAY
A special welcome to all visitors – please join us afterward for tea and coffee. There is no Sunday School this week as we are still sorting out our list of teachers and helpers. Activity Sheets will be made available to the SS age children later in the service.
FRIDAY YOUTH GROUP February 7
(Years 7-11)
Meeting at Bundy youth 7:30-9:30pm (no dinner this night). Speak to Andy if you would like to share a ride.
YOUNG ADULTS
We’ll be back this year on Wednesday evenings at Andy and Taimi’s place starting on the February 12
. Please talk with either of them if you would like to come along.
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHING
We are still needing teachers for the prep-grade 1 class and would love to cover this as soon as possible. Franciska would also like to challenge the youth (especially year 9 and up) to be helpers with the older class in portable. This will help us with Safe Church requirements and provide you with an opportunity to serve the EPC community (there is no preparation required in this role).
OUTREACH INFLUENCE TEAM
The first formal meeting of the OIT will be Feb 16, 4:00-5:30pm. Marie has sent out the agenda with the list of required readings. We are looking forward to seeing how God will use us as individuals and as a church in 2020.
LADIES GROWTH GROUP 2020
The Ladies Growth Group will begin meeting on February 14, at 9:45am in the hall.
EVENING GROWTH GROUPS
Over the next few weeks the leaders of the regular evening groups will be in touch with you over when each group will resume for this year. If you are not a member of an evening group and would love to join one of the Monday or Thursday groups for deeper fellowship and personal growth, please talk to Don and we will find a spot that works best for you.
MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES 2020
If you haven’t picked up the handout on ministry opportunities for 2020 please collect it from the foyer. We would love for you to start thinking about how you might serve in the life and ministry of the church next year and it helps us get better prepared for when we start up everything again in the new year after the December-January break. Place the response form in the box on the small table. This is especially true for lining up Sunday School Teachers.
NEXT SERVANTHOOD ROSTER
Melody is keen to get started on the next Servanthood Roster, which will cover the period of March 1 to May 31. Please consider when you might be available/not available, and let Melody know. Extra volunteers are always
welcome (and especially needed for creche). Please talk to Melody about how you might be involved, and for details of each area of the roster if you’ve not been on the roster before.
EVERGREEENS
Evergreens begins their 9 th
year this year. Please feel free to join us for an afternoon of fellowship: Bible Studies on the first Wednesdays of the month and speakers or other activities on the third, and always a lovely afternoon tea. Our first get-together will be on February 5, when Don will lead a Bible study. For enquiries, see Sue.
CRAFT GROUP
