Iran Month

Today we start our special focus on persecuted Christians in Iran and for the spread of the Gospel among the Iranian people at home and abroad. Two books are available from Elam ministries to help us pray meaningfully for them:  Iran and Beyond  (a general introduction to what God is doing there),  Iran 30  (a 30 day prayer diary). Please pick up a copy for yourself from the foyer.

An Invitation – Bloke’s Bible Study

If you’re not able to make an evening growth group, Andy and Bennie would like to invite you 6:00am Fridays in the hall for a short Bible study and prayer time together. Please let us know if you’re interested.

Christian Viewpoint

Kathleen Maxwell has offered her place to run small gatherings for people to meet for coffee and dessert and hear someone speak about their faith and how it has shaped their lives. We are aiming to have our first one Saturday, June 22. The goal is that you can only come if you bring a non-churched person along! Because of space limitations we will have to sign up on a first in basis. Please pray they we are able to develop a list of potential speakers.

Men’s Breakfast

Please put July 20 in your diaries! Pastor Geoff Shepherd will be our guest speaker for the event. Geoff is a former policeman whom God called to become a pastor and this made the Melbourne news! Along with his ministry at Mill Park Baptist he is also the chaplain for the Richmond Football Club. Geoff is passionate and enthusiastic about all he does and has a great story to tell.

Evergreens

Andy will be leading us in a Bible Study this Wednesday, June 5. 1:30pm in the hall, with afternoon tea to follow. All welcome.

Youth Group

Next Friday is a night to chill out, with games, food and conversation. 7:30 – 9:30pm. Please see Andy if you need a lift.

Craft Group

The Craft Group would like to thank everyone who supported their Mothers’ Day coat hangers project. We have collected $205 which will be donated to Samaritans Purse Mozambique Flood Fund.

New Church Directory

Today, Helen Cameron will be taking more photos for the new Directory. Please be available to have your photos taken so we can complete this task as soon as possible. Afterwards, Melody will email you to confirm your listing in the Directory.

Servanthood Roster

There are several vacancies on the new roster. Please look at the copy on the table in the foyer, and consider whether you can help, and write you name next to the date that will suit you (or we might be able to arrange a swap). Creche volunteers need to have registered with Safe Church to be able to help in this area. Please see Melody for more details.
