Lord’s Supper

We use Gluten Free biscuits for the Lord’s Supper, in order that everyone may participate.

Discipleship Explored Returns

This Deeper Discipleship Training course will resume on Sunday evening October 7th. Come and be encouraged in your faith through reading the  Letter to the Philippians  together, with a guided study and video input. This will continue on Sunday evenings, October 14th, 21st then November 4 ^th , at 7:30pm. Speak to Andy if you would like a study book so you can catch up and join in.

GAV

The 2018 General Assembly of the PCV begins Monday October 8, 7:30pm in Scots’ Church with the installation of Rev John Stasse as the new moderator. Everyone is welcome to this worship service which starts off the week’s proceedings. You are also welcome on the other days except for when the Assembly sits in private from time to time. Don, Andy, Nathan and Ian Courts will be attending the GAV through the week.

Growth Groups

As it is Assembly week there will be no evening Growth Groups this week. They will resume next week.

Induction  

The presbytery has set Andy’s induction into the parish for Friday November 16 at 7:30pm. This follows the congregation’s signing of the call to him and it will change his status from assistant minister to Don Elliott to an associate minister of the parish. 

Christmas Boxes

Next Sunday October 14 is Shoebox collection day . If you are unable to fill a Shoebox but would like to be involved you could pay for postage of a Shoebox. Cost is $10 per shoe box. Thank you to those who have taken boxes to fill. Any enquiries today, please speak to Judy Flett, otherwise contact Maxine Fowler 94397971.

Bibles for the Persecuted  

Once again we will participate in the 21 Days of Prayer for persecuted Christians around the world. Collection Sunday for donations to provides Bibles for these persecuted Christians will be October 28 . Prayer diaries may be available today.

Eltham Festival Outreach – SIGN UP TODAY

Come and get involved this year at the EPC tent, under the banner “Think Life Think Jesus.” A sign-up sheet is available in the foyer, and we need to work together on this! We need people at the stall throughout the day, willing to hand out material and to ‘be ready to give an answer for the hope you have in Jesus.’ Other requirements include a set up and a pack up team, face-painters and gospel bracelet makers, people to be available for Psalm reading and prayer. Please pray for this outreach coming up on 11th November.

Working Bee

The Board of Management will be organising a Working Bee on Saturday November 17. More details will follow, but please put this date in your diaries.
