Bibles for the Persecuted
Once again we will participate in the 21 Days of Prayer for persecuted Christians around the world. Collection Sunday for donations to provides Bibles for these persecuted Christians will be October 28 . The materials will arrive soon.
Stepping Up – The Next Step!
We’d like to invite the youth to get involved on Sundays through next term, helping on our Servanthood roster . There are many opportunities to experience – get involved in playing or singing with the music team, learning to use the sound desk, bible reading, help with welcoming at the door, morning tea, or with the younger children at a Sunday school class. Please speak with Melody or Andy.
Evergreens
This Wednesday September 19, we have a guest speaker from the S.E.S. in Nilllumbik, who will share about their responsibilities, work and challenges. All welcome. 1:30pm in the hall.
Eltham Festival Outreach 11th November
Come and get involved this year at the EPC tent, under the banner “Think Life Think Jesus.” A sign-up sheet will be made available in the foyer, please speak to Andy if you have some talent with e-bay purchasing, and can help with preparing and choosing outreach material. More to come on this!
Preaching Plan
Our current preaching series are: “Spotlight on Prayer” by Andy and “ Comfort for the World” (Isaiah 40-50) by Don and Nathan. In November, there will be a special series focussing on our core values as a church. Early next year we are planning to return to the Book of Acts, “ The Organic Church” as a follow on from Andy’s previous series in Acts, “ The Unstoppable Gospel”.
Discipleship Explored
This Deeper Discipleship Training course – a DVD series will resume in October. Sunday evenings, October 7th, 14th, 21st then November 4 th , at 7:30pm.
Christmas Boxes
Collection Day for the shoe boxes is Sunday October 14 . If you are unable to fill a shoe box and would like to support this appeal, donating $10 for postage of a shoe box would be very much appreciated. Any Questions Contact Maxine Fowler 94397971

Jenni Ambridge is collecting books for the Oxfam Book Fair to be held in Eltham on October 20.
