Curious about Jesus? Come and find out more. Today’s topic looks at the radical idea of the equality of every human being. 3:00pm – 4:00pm. The following topics on the following Sundays in August are Forgiveness then Women and Children. Printed invitations are available.

Open Table

For our next Open Table on August 26, we are serving Curry. As usual there will be options for those who need to eat Gluten Free, Dairy Free or Vegetarian. Invitations are on the table in the foyer.

Evergreens

This week we will watch a DVD titled The National Gallery in War Time. Come along to find out how precious paintings were protected from destruction, and other changes within the gallery were made during war time. Wednesday August 15 at 1 pm in the hall.

Ladies’ Bible Study

We are ready to start a new series, so next week, August 17 we will meet to discuss our options over coffee. Anyone interested in joining the group is welcome to come along. Venue to be confirmed. Please speak to Anne Elliott or Emily Graham if interested.

Christmas Boxes

The Operation Christmas Child Appeal boxes and pamphlets are available in the foyer. Boxes are 50cents a box. Collection date to be announced. Any Enquiries contact Maxine Fowler.

Kid’s announcement

Please remember to keep off the gardens unless fetching a ball, and not to climb on the gates or fences. The fences are not that strong. A couple of fences already have some damage which we don’t want to get any worse. Please help each other to remember these rules as we all care for everything we have at our church.

Treasurer:  After many faithful years as our treasurer, David Graham, is standing down. He plans to finish at the end of October and provide a 2 month handover period for the new treasurer. David has a good working system in place ready for someone else to step into. (Weekly banking of the offering is not part of the treasurer’s duties.) If you would like to find out more about what is involved please talk to David. If you think you would like to serve in this way please talk to Don Elliott.
