PresAID appeal:
If you missed out on contributing to the Christmas Day PresAID Appeal and would like to do so, there is still time. Either by putting it into an envelope marked PresAID and putting it into the collection bags, or via online giving. Please mark your online donation PresAID. This year’s appeal will support two causes:
1) South Sudan Refugees in Ethiopia: APWM missionary, Motor Yat, working among the 60,000 refugees in the Jewi Camp. The target is to provide $40,000 to buy blankets, mosquito nets, Bibles, hymn books and other ministry materials.
2) Zimbabwe: Library and Study Centre.
The target is to raise $45,000 for these two new facilities in Harare. In the past we have help with a similar project in Zambia as well as supporting a theological resource centre in Blantyre, Malawi.
Safe Church Basic Training – save the dates:
For those who are looking to be newly involved in Children’s ministry or any leadership roles at EPC, Andy will be running this training on two Thursday evenings, 1st and 8th February.
Sermon Podcasts
For those who use it, EPC sermons are now available through iTunes as a podcast.
A Message from the Canavans
Dear friends at Eltham Presbyterian Church,
Alan and I would like to say a big thank you for the support that you sent to us in November. We appreciated it very much. Thank you for your partnership with us and for your encouragement to us as we continue to serve with Wycliffe Bible translators. We pray that you will each be encouraged in your faith and know God’s peace as you continue to serve God in the Eltham community. We also would like to wish you all a blessed Christmas and a happy New Year.
Love in Christ,
Faye (and Alan) Canavan.
Missions: Please pray for Alan and Faye Canavan and their outreach work.
