Open Table: This Sunday, July 30 at 5:30 pm.

Ministry Opportunity: The Board of management has a vacancy that needs to be filled and would like to open up the opportunity to any member of the church interested in becoming part of this team which looks after the property and financial operations of EPC. Please talk to Don if you are open to serving this way.

Weeding Team: Even though we have had below average rainfall recently the weeds are doing very well! It would be great if we could get a team or two together to come and work on the church gardens. Doing it with other people would add a layer of fellowship to make it more enjoyable and speed up the process. A sign up sheet is on the small table. Thank you.

Children’s Announcement: This is just a reminder to keep off the garden beds and leave the decorative stones near the basketball hoop where they are. Also, please leave the lemons on the lemon tree. It is good to remember you are a guest in someone else’s yard when you enjoy the trampoline. Thank you.

Christianity Explored: Starts next Thursday, August 3 at 8:00 pm. This will continue through to September 14 in the hall. Invitations are now available. Please speak to Andy Buchan if you would like further details, or check out the videos on thinklifethinkjesus.org

Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child Appeal: Collection date is Sunday August 13 . Flyers and boxes are available in the foyer for you to pick up. The boxes are 50cents a box. If you have any queries please speak to Maxine Fowler or Judy Flett. A Gospel tract called “The Greatest Journey ” is included in the box.

Servanthood Roster: Melody would like to hear from people willing to join those already serving our congregation in practical ways such as providing morning tea, church cleaning, crèche, or any of the other roles necessary for the smooth running of Sunday services. If anyone has specific dates which should be avoided in the compilation of the roster – which runs from September 3 to November 11 – please contact Melody by August 9.

Men’s Event: Our next event will be our Journeys of Faith Testimony night to be held in the hall on Saturday August 19 at 7.30 pm. Steve Williams and 2 other men from our congregation will share their testimonies with us. Your attendance will be a great encouragement to those sharing, and to all of us who hear what they have to say. We will share supper together to round off the night.

Plenty Valley Christian College: The next open morning will be next Tuesday, August 1. It will run from 9 – 10:30am, with tours and an address from our new principal.

Belgrave Heights Conventions: Please note the flyers now available for the ‘Women’s Convention’ (Sept 9 with Patricia Weerakoon) and the ‘Seniors Convention’ (Nov 17-19 with Peter Adam).
