Malawi Ministry Trip: Sue and John Steendam are again going to Malawi and (God willing) will be leaving on July 28 for 3 months. John will be continuing with the oversight of the Secondary School construction at Orbus. Sue will be joining the Malawi Presbyterian church Prison Chaplain in the visiting, encouraging and caring of so many poor prisoners. Sue especially is seeking funding to help these desperately neglected prisoners in providing basic essential needs such as medication, bibles, clothing, blankets, educational material, soaps etc. In this way we can demonstrate the love of our Lord Jesus to those who are outcasts and a forgotten people. These items are not supplied by the Prison authority.

Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child Appeal: We will be collecting Christmas Boxes again this year, with the collection date in EARLY AUGUST. The school holidays is an ideal time to get the family involved in filling the shoe boxes. Maxine Fowler and Judy Flett will be organising this appeal for us; flyers and boxes are available for you to pick today. It is hoped that many of our congregation will fill a box or two for the less fortunate children overseas who receive these boxes at Christmas time, as they have in previous years. If you have any queries, please speak to Maxine or Judy. A Gospel tract called “The Greatest Journey” is included in every box.
