Today: Three new elders are being inducted today. They are Robert Cameron, Ian Courts and David Graham
Youth Group 4:00 pm: We’ll meet in the church building this afternoon before the Open Table dinner at 5:30pm. Today’s session will be about God’s grace. Please speak to Rachael or Matt to let them know you’ll be there!
Open Table: Our third Open Table for the year is on tonight , starting at 5:30 pm . Gluten Free and Dairy Free options will be available.
Dishwasher: In the interests of hygiene, the Board has purchased a dishwasher and had it installed. It will be a case of filling it after morning tea, switching it on, then leaving it to wash. The next group using the hall can possibly unload it. Some rearrangement of other storage (e.g., the platters) has been done.
Vi Hill’s Funeral: Vi’s funeral will be held here at 10:30 am on Tuesday May 9 th . It is our intention to cater for morning tea afterwards. Contributions can be brought on the day, but it would help with planning if we know in advance. Further details will be available via email, or contact Maxine.
Word In Song Music Conference: Saturday, 13th May, 2017 , St Hilary’s Anglican Church (12 John St, Kew). This conference is supported by EMU music. “A chance to be encouraged and refreshed, to hear from the Bible, and to grow in practical skills for music ministry in your church.” It’s open to anyone, with workshops on singing, song writing, playing in bands, and understanding music from a biblical perspective. Future Events:
Men’s Convention : This year’s convention at Belgrave Heights is based on the theme “Clarity in a Confused World.” It will be held on Friday evening and Saturday 26 to 27 May. We hope to have brochures available shortly. In the meantime full information is available at www.bhc.orh.au. Once again our music group will provide music for the Saturday sessions.
