Missions Giving: The way EPC missions giving is collected is by the giving envelopes or through direct giving. The envelopes have two pockets; one for general offering and one specifically for missions. If you use direct giving please indicate ‘ missions’ as your reference. Our missions giving is divided into 10ths. Most missionaries get one 10th but a couple of them get two 10ths. Whatever comes in is divided up this way.
Personal Bible Reading: Out of our Personal Bible Reading workshop we want to recommend two devotional phone apps: the John Piper Daily Devotional and the one from Creek Road Presbyterian Church in Qld. Just look up Creek Road in your app store. As there is nothing like reading the Bible for yourself we have placed some study tools on our own web page under What’s On, Deeper Discipleship Training . Look for the Focus and Apply Personal Bible Study. There are 4 other easy study methods under the One-to-One link.
DDT: Due to various circumstances we have decided not to run Christ Centred Marriage as originally planned. We are now working on the idea of a marriage enrichment course. We are considering a particular program at the moment and the feasibility of condensing it down to something like two Friday evenings. Please stay tuned.
New Roster: It’s time once again to be considering how and when you will be available to help out during the period August to October. Please have your preferences to Melody by Monday August 8 . If you’ve not been on the roster before, please speak to Melody about what is involved.
Evergreens: We meet again this Wednesday, 3 rd August at 1:30 pm. Join with us for a Bible study and afternoon tea.
EPC Directory: Melody will be taking photos for the new directory after church today, for those who haven’t had their photos in the directory, or whose photo needs updating. Please make yourself available for this, so that the new directory can be completed as soon as possible.
Men’s Events: “ Our Journeys of Faith & Life ” testimony night will be August 27 . It is a night when three men get to share their stories with us. The Men’s Breakfast will be November 5 at the Eltham Gateway Conference Centre. Please put these dates in your diary.
